The Bi National 10k & 5k Run, The Teleton USA Running for a good cause


On March 24th will be held the first binational race that will be joining both sides of the border for a noble cause, which is named “The Bi-National 10K & 5K Run, The Teleton USA” and is organized by Teleton USA/Foundation in benefit of minors with disabilities. The event will be starting at 8:00 am and will end at 12:00 pm the registration for running will cost 10 dlls per participant.

Teleton USA Foundation is a nonprofit organization settled in San Antonio, Texas; the main objective of the race is to continue collecting funds to help the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute of Teleton USA (CRIT) which helps children with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injuries, genetic disorders and amputations

For the first time in the Teleton USA history, the marathon will be held between the border of Brownsville and Matamoros. The Bi-National 10K & 5K Run, will be opening 2 categories: the first category will have two subdivisions and will the “Route 5K Brownsville” and the “Route 5K Matamoros,” both routes will only include the length of both cities. The Route 5K Brownsville will be starting at the main building of the UTRGV and finishing in the Gateway International Bridge; while the Route 5K Matamoros, will be starting in the Gateway International Bridge and end in the Matamoros City Hall; is the second category of the binational race, will be “Route 10K,” which will be run from Brownsville to Matamoros, through the Gateway International Bridge.
